how i evaluate others?

One of the criteria that I will look forward in every microteaching is the language spoken by the teachers. I always sit at the back of the class so I rarely hear their voices. I think that they should speak loudly so that everyone can hear them. Sometimes when I arrived at the class, I have found out the front seats is already full so I have no choice but to sit at the back. I feel that students would not pay attention to the lesson if they can not hear it and most of the teachers know that Malaysian students rarely asking questions even though they do not understand the lesson. What a waste to Malaysian resources if something like this always happen in the classroom!

I have also noticed very important tips to the teachers in order to make their students enjoy the lesson. As I have already observed microteaching that was conducted by my friends and I think that students will enjoy most, teachers that managed to present interesting activities to them. Interesting activities can make them focus on the lesson as they feel excited to participate in the activities. So, in my opinion, teachers will success in her role to teach students if all the students eagerly wait for their class and feel pleased to learn new things from the lesson.

Another important thing that teachers should bear in mind is make sure that the lesson is student centered. Teacher should encourage students to answer questions and give their opinions regarding to the lesson. Teacher should praise students that participated actively in the activities but do not forget to encourage passive students to take part in the activities. As a conclusion, teachers have the power to change the atmosphere in their classroom so they need to grab that opportunity to help their students

I agree with Shazrina that the voice projection of the teacher is very important. Without a loud and clear voice, the students in the class will not pay attention to what the teacher says. Besides that I also agree with her that the teacher should encourage students to answer questions and give their opinions regarding to the lesson, it is true that Malaysian students rarely asking questions even though they do not understand the lesson. It is our job to help them in this matter; we can give them some clues to guide them to the correct answer. Furthermore, our praises and encouragement also means a lot to our students. We shouldn’t let them feel embarrassment when they give the wrong answer, instead we should help them by encouraging them. Another thing that Shazrina mention is also very important, never forget the passive students! They might be slow, they might be passive but they are still our students. We should encourage everyone in our class to participate in the lesson; there are no points to focus on few students that are fast and clever only. As a teacher, we should not have bias on any students and we should always help them to move on.

I agree with your points. The first thing that you point out is how the teacher speaks. True, more often than not teachers tend to forget about the students who are sitting at the back. If these students can't hear the teacher's voice, they definitely will not pay attention to the lesson. Secondly, you wrote about how interesting activities would benefit both the teacher and students. I absolutely agree. We can do so much these days, now that we have the technology of computers and stuff. With creative activities, teachers will succeed in their role while students, in turn, will be eager and pleased to participate in the activities. Now, that would definitely will make the class more lively and fun! Also, last but not least, I agree that it is important that teachers should make sure that the lesson is student-centered. It is important for these days to train students to improve their soft skills so that we will be able to bring out not only their confidence in themselves but also their personality.

i think shazrina is correct when she says that she's evaluating others through the voice. This is due to the reason that students will not pay attention to the teachers who cannot raise up their voice. Besides, if the teacher's voice is clear, students will get the information easily. i also salute with of what Rina has been said.'Don't forget the passive student'.Usually, teacher tend to give more attention to the active students and this thing shouldn't be happened. All students are same no matter what level they have or they come from.
